The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has been connecting businesses in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands since 1891. As an independent bi-lateral membership organisation, we bring together companies, professionals and institutions through events, knowledge sharing and strategic introductions.

The NBCC Business Network
Given our mission to end packaged water and fight plastic pollution, NBCC invited us to join the global #SolvingGlobalChallengesTogether Campaign of the NL Business Hub Network and their trade delegation to COP28 in Dubai. We are very grateful to be invited. It was a true honor to be there, getting a stage for our mission. The support of NBCC means very much to us and gave Dopper the opportunity to present itself at various relevant occasions. We are truly thankful for this valuable chance and are looking forward to sharing our mission again next year. The networking during the COP28 has proven to be highly effective and showed us the importance of connecting and collaborating. Lyne’s support and belief in our mission are inspiring and moti-vates us to continue our work. NBCC made it possible for us to meet with Meike van Ginneken, Water Envoy for the Netherlands, participate as key note speaker in the NBCC Water, Agriculture and Food event, attend a C-suite dinner of DLA Piper event, a one on one meeting with HRH Jaime de Bourbon de Parma, Climate Envoy for the Netherlands, participate in a survey, attend the Frontrunners’ dinner where the joint statement was delivered in a Dopper (‘Message in a Dopper’) and meet many captains of industry of the Dutch sustainability COP28 delegation. Our successful collaboration continued with the commitment of a number of European hubs of the NLinBusiness network to join the Dopper Wave and stimulate drinking tap water, always bring and use a refilable bottle and inspire their members to join the Dopper Wave. Once again, thank you very much for everything. What an impact, what connections and what a reach! We hope to continue our collaboration and remain enthusiastic about the possibilities that the future holds for us. And that Dopper can attend the COP29, wherever it will be organized.
The NBCC provides us with a great high quality network and very well organised events at which we gladly participate. Our CEO, Mr. Van Boxmeer, had the pleasure to address the NBCC Brexit Forum event of 29 March 2019, sharing our learnings with other companies, connecting with key stakeholders and to access cutting edge information from policy makers. The professional dedication of the NBCC staff to satisfy and represent the interests of the members can be compared to none!
We have partnered with The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) in the NBCC Brexit Forum to help Dutch companies prepare for Brexit. The NBCC does a pivotal job in bringing together private and public parties to connect all relevant parties and combine all possible knowledge, both in the UK and in The Netherlands. I am pleased that they run the extra mile to help their member companies and partners. Their hard work has definitely contributed to the high level of Brexit preparedness of the Netherlands for all possible Brexit scenario’s. It is great to work with professional people as the team of the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC)!
The NBCC North Sea Neighbours Dinner was an exceptional experience: the NBCC has managed to rise above and beyond Brexit emphasising the more than 400-year long trading heritage, looking towards the future to strengthen the relationship of our two nations.
Tony’s Chocolonely launched in the UK at the start of 2019 with the mission of changing the cocoa industry to eradicate slavery and child labour driven by poverty in West Africa. The NBCC has helped Tony’s with valuable input for our launch plan: contacts of UK retailers, information on the chocolate market, market trends and requirements and possible scenarios of Brexit. Today Tony’s is in Liberty London, Sainsbury’s, Selfridges, Wholefoods, Waitrose, Ocado, Avoca and many, many independent stores; there’ll be plenty more to follow as we’re only just getting started.
